In honor of National Scrapbooking Day on May 3rd, 2008, Ipso Crafto will host an outdoor Scrappy Hour from 2 PM to 4 PM with a demonstration on how to make mini gift albums from a single piece of 12×12 paper (and some cool tools). We’ll also have lemonade and cookies, as well as specials and sales throughout the store!
Due to popular demand, Ipso Crafto will now offer private sewing lessons. Choose from the following beginner’s courses, each lasting approximately one hour:
Lessons can be scheduled between 9 am and 11 am and between 6 pm and 8 pm on weekdays, and any time on the weekend (according to availability)
The cost, not including fabric or thread, is $40 for one adult and $10 for each additional adult or child taking the class at the same time. Payments are due in full when you schedule the lesson and are non-refundable. Kids are welcome to take any of these classes with a parent or guardian, but may not attend the class alone. A maximum of 4 people may take a class at one time.

Thursday, February 7th - Scrappy Hour rescheduled for 6-9pm. Bring you page-in-progress and have some snacks!
Saturday, February 9th - Machine Quilting Class for beginners to medium skill level. The class will create an Irish Chain block using strip piecing methods. Students must bring their own machine and rotary cutter; mat, ruler, fabric, and thread will be supplied. Cost is $30 and students must register before February 7th.
Saturday, February 16th - Kids’ Class: Stamping with paint. From 2-3pm, kids 6 and up will learn how to combine paint, stamping, and color blending to decorate a wooden box or picture frame. Cost is $10 and students must register before February 14th.
Thursday, January 17th - Scrappy Hour! Bring your pages-in-progress to work on them with other scrappers. 8-10PM. No fee. Light refreshments while they last.
Saturday, January 19th - Beginner’s Patchwork Class. Make a Log Cabin block into a pot holder. This class will start at 11:00 am and requires registration at least two days in advance. Students may bring their own sewing machines or hand-sew the project. Cost is $25 and includes all materials.
Thursday, January 24th - Decoupage Delight. This is a free event. Join other crafters and make recycled art from bottles and old magazines. Please bring a jar or bottle to cover, as well as old magazines you were going to throw in the recycling bin anyway. 6-9PM
Saturday, February 2nd - Kids’ event: Create your own Valentines! From 1-3pm, get a jump start on your cards for the big day. $5 for unlimited card making.
Due to the busy schedule everyone keeps during these crazy months, Ipso Crafto will not be holding public classes until January. However, we will happily give you advice on any project you may undertake! Just stop in and say hi.
From 6-8 PM, bring whatever project you’re working on, whether it’s quilt squares, cross stitch, ribbon embroidery, or anything in between. The only requirement is that it uses a needle! You may bring your own sewing machine, but none will not be provided. But, snacks and beverages will be provided. We would appreciate RSVPs, but you can just drop in, too. In other words, no registration or cost!
From 6-8 PM, bring your pictures and supplies and meet some other scrappers. Some tools, snacks, and beverages will be provided. We would appreciate RSVPs, but you can just drop in, too, i.e. no registration or payment necessary!
October 16, starts at 7 PM: Hand sew a lamb softie/stuffed animal. This class is for adults and children over 10 if accompanied by parents. Cost: $20, $30 for parent/child pairs ($15 per person). Register on or before October 15.
Please note: any class that requires registration must be paid in full by the deadline listed, usually 1 or 2 days before the class. Any class with less than three participants will be canceled and payments will be refunded.

For the young ones 2 and up! Come by any time between 1 and 3 PM and decorate a picture frame with scraps of fabric! Cost: $5. No registration necessary. If the weather is as nice as today, we will be out in front of the store doing this craft.
