We just love that someone liked us enough to write a review for us on Yelp. Yelp has been a fantastic resource for finding new places to go in DC, and to get unbiased opinions about places to visit.
There’s all kinds of sites that are known for having fake reviews and other dubious information. A bad review would give us a chance to fix the problem! And good reviews…well, it’s kind of obvious that we’d love those, right!?
No matter the city you live in, visit Yelp and contribute as much as you can or just use it as a resource. Community oriented resources like this are really what it’s all about.

This Saturday, at St. Peter’s Interparish School Yard Sale, Ipso Crafto will be on hand to host a FREE craft project for kids. Just stop by anytime on Saturday, May 17, between 11 AM to 2 PM to make super cool wood stick puppets. The craft should take no longer than 15 minutes per child, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the other festivities of the Yard Sale and Fun Fair! Please note, although Ipso Crafto will only be there from 11-2, the Yard Sale starts at 9 AM for you early birds!
From the school’s website:
“Considered the ‘best yard sale on the Hill’. The lower playground is used for the sale, which consists of books, clothes, toys, household items, etc. The upper playground is used for the Fun Fair where each class undertakes one game or sale table staffed by students and parents. A variety of food items, including hot dogs, hamburgers, and sodas are sold.”
St Peter’s Interparish School’s Yard Sale will be held at 313 2nd St SE and everyone is welcome!

Today we are pleased that Ipso Crafto and its owner, Karen Kormondy, we
re mentioned in an article about jeans reconstruction in the Washington Post Express available at all metro stops and everywhere in the city. You can see the article online here. Read all about it!
One correction, though: Karen did NOT write the book Denim Mania as stated in the article. As a communications degree holder and former college newspaper editor, Karen understands that this was probably not an intentional mistake, but most likely the product of editorial cuts/shifting paragraphs/etc. Thanks to Ms. Kaufman for writing an otherwise great article.
