Due to an unforeseen event, Ipso Crafto will be closed today.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your support of Ipso Crafto in our last days!
Ipso Crafto is sad to announce that it is closing its doors as of mid-December. We had a good run and we appreciate all of the support of the Capitol Hill and DC area. Unfortunately, as a small retail business, we cannot weather the storm of financial crisis that is affecting so many aspects of the world today. Not only have sales gone down even as our inventory has grown, but we are unable to procure any funding from banks or lending institutions, which is crucial to any small business.
Again, we thank you all for supporting our dream of making DC the District of Crafts. We hope to see you before we’re gone!
Starting October 6, Ipso Crafto will be closed on Mondays. We hope this does not inconvenience any of you. But, if it does, please give us your feedback by emailing us at contact@ipso-crafto.com.
Thanks!
My Spare Time has posted a project in progress that features one of our favorite, in stock fabrics, here.

We have the pink and green fabric running north to south on the green felt. In fact, Karen of Ipso Crafto is currintly working on a whole cloth quilt with that fabric!
Also, here is a pin cushion made with one of our in stock fall fabrics. But if you want to make one, you better hurry, as we’re almost sold out!

Classes are free but you MUST sign up before the class starts, so we know how many people we need to accomodate. There is limited space, so we will close registration if neccesary. All supplies are included. These are classes designed for adults, but children may attend with their parents.
Karen at Ipso Crafto must have circles on the brain, because she’s put together three classes that all feature circles and round things. The simple supplies for each will be lent or given to participants. These are adult beginning to intermediate level and do not cost one round penny!
Each Class will run from 6-6:30 on the following Wednesdays:
Although these classes are free, there is a limit to how many people can attend, so each participant must register. Customers who do not register by calling, emailing, or stopping in the store will NOT be allowed to sit in on the class.
To register:

By email: karen@ipso-crafto.com
In person: stop by 733 8th St SE, Washington, DC

Here at Ipso Crafto, we like to be on the cutting edge of technology. (That’s what happens when one of the owners has been in technology for 10 years!)
We want you to follow us on Twitter so you can get access to secret twitter only sales. We mean it. It might be elitist, but it’s also fun. If you don’t know about Twitter, check it out!
For those who subscribe, we promise you’ll be invited to come by for secret sales that last for a limited amount of time and are only available to you for subscribing!

We now have all 454 solid colors of DMC brand floss! Come in to see what other great stuff we’ve gotten since your last visit.
We at Ipso Crafto have awaited this day for almost a year. We finally have sewing machine needles from Schmetz! Currently, we have Universal Needles, Denim Needles, Leather Needles, and Quilting Needles. As with other product lines, we’re still working on getting the entire collection, but we feel this is a great start for most of our customers.
Also, we are building our collection of machine feet, repair kits, and other odds and ends. Maybe soon we’ll have actual machines, too!
